Cathy Lee Henneman (Brenner) -
and Israel “Sonny” Brenner
Israel began painting on canvas during the 70’s, bringing to life his own
design of color-vibrant bursts. In the 80’s he painted detailed landscapes.
Then during the late 90’s into the year 2001, Israel painted the designs his
wife Cathy
Lee was doodling/drawing at her desk. This became their current project (titled
“Infinity Figure Eight Characters”), whimsical art with the objective “to bring a smile.”

The artists live in northern California. Background:
Cathy Lee was born in Colorado. In Santa Barbara (California)
she studied graphic art communications and fine art through all sorts of
mediums. This poet traveled several times from coast to coast putting her
photographic skills to work. Cathy Lee developed a website to present the art that she and Israel
created together over the last few years.
Israel was born in Pennsylvania. He walked to a
one-room schoolhouse over fields of snow (true story). He is self taught in art
and expertly creative in color; acrylics are his favorite. In the mid-1990's, because of an illness, Israel had to stop working the business that he had started years
before. Wasting no time, and working within the constraints of his condition, he determined the way to "make a living" in the time remaining.
He and Cathy Lee began a new business resulting from
their creative collaboration of Infinity Figure 8 Characters. (Contact

The paintings and note cards of these "Characters" were exhibited at
Lake County Arts Council and Main
Street Gallery.
